Hind-sight - - I would have been a Missionary ! - Full-Time !
A true young Missionary Family known as "The Rayborn's " have graced my Church Family - - by staying in our Church Mission House for the past 4 months. They are a lovely, young couple with four (4) young children, ages 2, 4, 6, & 8 who are from our neighbor City of Watson. They have been serving on the Internatinal Mission Fields in Paraguay for 7 years - - have been on Furlough for the past 4 months - - and leave March 4 to serve on the Mission Fields of Africa. It has been such a Blessing to get to know them during their stay in our Church Mission House - - & to hear of their humbling experiences endeavored on the Mission Fields of Paraguay. Once they get settled in Africa, there's a possibility Judson may send a Mission Team to serve beside the Rayborn's for a short period of time !!!
This upcoming Sunday our Judson's - "Women on Mission" will host Lunch for another young Missionary Couple, Jeff & Josie, who are on furlough for only a month. They have 2 young children. Because of their mission location, some of their info must remain private. During Lunch they will fellowship with our Church Family - - sharing experiences from their Mission Field.
It is such a fascinating experience to hear the adventures these young Missionary families encounter while on their Missionary Journey. Their young children adjust very well on the Mission Field. It's all they know - - they easily learn the Village Language - Customs & Culture.
I've been Blessed to experience several Missionary Journies - - including - - on the Louisiana State Mission Fields, the US Mission Fields in Pueblo, Colorado, & on the International Mission Fields in Nicaragua ! Each offers a unique experience of its own.
"Women on Mission" offer opportunities to Spread the Gospel on State Mission Soil. We continue going "Under the Bridge" to the Homeless; and, we are planning several trips into the Women's Prison in St. Gabriel - - one trip will be to host a Graduation Party for those women earning their Diploma within the Prison. Although these are very short-term mission opportunities, it's still a wonderful experience of spreading the Gospel to those that may have never heard.
We are excited as to where the Lord will lead - - - Our Hearts are open to the possibility of going to the International Mission Fields in Africa and assist the Rayborn's once they get settled !
