Lottie Moon - - Christmas Tea Cookies

I never met the Missionary, Lottie Moon - - but I remember my Maw-Maw talking about her.  Lottie Moon still lives on today in the hearts of people in Churches - - as they support the Foreign Missionaries around the World.  A united special time to emphasize our Foreign Missionary Program is during the month of December - - along with collecting for the Lottie Moon Christmas offering to support Foreign Missionaries around the World.

Lottie Moon was known as the "Cookie Lady" in China.  She would bake Sugar Tea Cookies (Sugar Biscuits) & share with the Children in Villages as she told the Story of Jesus.

Next Saturday, my "Women on Mission" Group is gathering in our Church Kitchen to bake Lottie Moon's Christmas Cookies - - to distribute to our Church Family on Sunday Morning.  Several of us are unable to assist in Baking on Saturday, because we are scheduled to work the Election all day.  But, the Lord knows I'm not a Baker - - however, I'll be able to help on Sunday morning - - - as we distribute our homemade Cookies - along with Hot Chocolate - - to our Church Family.  What a wonderful way to emphasize the Lottie Moon Foreign Missionary Program.  What a grand Sunday morning it will be!

We have also displayed the Lottie Moon Christmas Post Office in our Church Foyer.    Our Church Family will give Christmas Cards to one another - - but give the Postage Amount to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. which is promoted this month.  I must get my Christmas Cards ready for my Church Family!

This emphasis on Lottie Moon will also encourage our Very Young Generation within our Church Family to continue the reminiscing  of  Lottie Moon and the Foreign Missionary Program.

Here's the Recipe for "Lottie Moon's Tea Cookies"
