"Foster Village" is the latest Ministry at Judson Baptist Church - - It's a little organization with a BIG Heart located on our Church Campus - - which distributes Baby Items to Foster Parents when they are called at any time of day/night to accept Foster Children into their Home.
My dear Sunday School friend, Diane, has a special place in her Heart for this Ministry - - she has led our Sunday School Ladies to collect $ once a month - - to purchase a much needed GIGANTIC-pack of Diapers. Sounds like NOT much - - but it's very much needed.
The much needed Items are in everyone's Budget - - everything from Baby Pacifiers - Baby Bibs - Baby Wipes - Baby Cream - to Diapers and ofcourse the Special Toys (from McDonald's).
Foster Village works on a Volunteer basis - Today (Thursday) - they are sponsoring an "Open House" - affording the opportunity to come "Tour" the place - - see the inventory of stocked items - - see what U can do. I'm thankful to say, I've already taken the "Tour" !
There's a "Work Day" coming up in a few weeks - - My Sunday School Ladies plan to join-in !
Although sad in it's own way, it brings JOY to see this Special Ministry unfolding in our area.
