Advantage of being a Senior Citizen - - -

There are so many advantages of being a Senior Citizen !  One of those is the fact that a Senior Citizen is eligible to register to have their Income Tax Prepared - - at no charge - - by the Livingston Parish Library - - did I mention - - no charge!   As a Senior Citizen, I'm taking advantage of this opportunity and have already registered for Saturday, Feb. 4. 

This Special Program is Co-sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service & also by the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.  This provides free tax preparation for participants with a low to moderate income during the tax year.  Of course, you must provide the official tax documents such as W-2s, 1099s, and information for deductions and credits along with a copy of last year’s tax return and a Social Security card.  If you are Blessed with results to receive a Refund, you may also bring proof of a bank account for Direct Deposit. 

Volunteers will prepare only simple returns - - more complicated returns will not be processed.  I'm very thankful my return is very simple; and therefore, I plan to show up at 11:45 on Saturday - Feb. 4.  I also had this done last year - - so I know it really works ! This is truly a big help to me !  

Oh, it's truly such a Blessing to be a Senior Citizen !
