Self - Assessment - Learning to be Humble in the Body of Christ
3 For by the Grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, judgement, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function.
5 So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
- - - If your gift is prophesying, then profesy in accordance with your faith;
7 - - - If it is serving, then serve;
- - - If it is teachng, then teach;
8 - - - If it is to encourage, then give encouragement;
- - - If it is giving, then give generously;
- - - If it is to lead, do it diligently;
- - - If it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
The scripture Verse 3 says : 'take a sober assessment of yourself"
The Lord already sees 3 traits in you:
=========================
1. You are Created by God - Psalms 139: 13-14
2. You are Born Again - Romans 8:1
3. You are Spiritually Gifted - Romans 12;6
4. You are Shaped by Experiences - Psalms 139:16
5. You are a person of both Strengths & Weaknessess - II Corinthians 12:9
We do NOT have to impress people. We must learn to accept the fact that God created us - so we have Security in Christ !
We are ' beautiful' in God's sight.
We 'belong' to God - we are loved by God.
We are a 'righteous' person in God's sight.
We have a 'secure' relationship in Christ.
We are 'equipped' with the Holy Spirit.
God has gifted each one of His Children with a special gift - - we do not all have the same gifts. What gift has God Blessed you with?
Make a list of 3 items each -
Your Weaknesses and Your Strengths !
Your strengths will help you find your Gift from God.
Miraculously, God did not create us all with the same Gifts !
