Lord willing - - I will be joining the Mission team in Nicauragua for one week in May, 2014
The Team is scheduled to minister two (2) weeks during May in Nicauragua
You may go for one week at a time. - I plan to go the first week.
Depart from Judson - - Early - - one morning in May, 2014
The last Mission Team in May of 2013 endured an
8-hour Lay-over Houston Airport
They caught up on sleep - while waiting in the Airport !
Arrive in Nicauragua - same day - - to serve for one week
It's not just a matter of packing your bags and going for a week.
Lots involved
- Passport ! (of which I already have from trips in my younger days )
- You must slightly change your Diet - - (which is a good thing !)
- You must obtain certain Shots - - (of which I hate to do !)
- Obtain Prayer Partners - - Before - During - & After
- Request Vacation from Work - -
My boss' son-n-law has served as a nurse in Nicaurauga - so he is eager for me to go !
- Hire my neighbor's Son to house-sit and feed Mr. Kitty
- Arrange Transportation to departure site (Judson)
- Start Saving my money - - this cost slightly more than the "ELBA" Mission trip - -
- Remember - - to pass thru the special gating @ airport - - due to 'metal plate in arm' ;>)
Adjustments
- Nicauragua is very primitive - - some villages do not have water - - they must pack water daily
We will spend one day in this particular village.
- The Compound in which we will reside - - is equipped with armed Guards and military Dogs !
I'm excited - so very thankful for the Lord to allow this opportunity to serve HIM.
If for some reason - I'm not able to participate in this particular Mission Adventure - - I plan to participate in the Eastern Louisiana Baptist Association in July 2014 when they minister on-site in Louisiana. Either way - I'll be a Missionary !
