"The Ladies Tea"
Hosted by "Judson's - Women on Mission"
This Saturday - - April 6 - Judson's Fellowship Hall
But - first - - we must begin early in advance to Prepare
Friday evening - we will 'set-up' and return early Saturday morning to 'prepare'
I do not like tea - and - I could have worked the Election on this date - - but I chose to take part in this special fellowship.
But preparations began much earlier than today (Friday) - - -Somehow (to my amazement) I was drafted to be part of the "Door Prizes - Committee" - It's amazing how the LORD will always give you a place to serve Him. I have enjoyed serving on this Committee - -
Here are a few of the items donated:
- Several Gift Baskets from "Bed - Bath - Beyond" - (eight actually !)
- Several cook books - from our own local Chef - Holly Clegg
-The Pampered Chef - Cook book - - actually entitled "Inspirations". (How Appropriate!)
- Several Devotional Books by our favorite authors:
-Kay Arthur - Charles Stanley - Stephen Lang
- Even several hand-painted - oval-shaped - Porcelain Eggs - painted by ladies in Zimbabwe -
- Two (2) unique - beautiful Tote-Bags
- A beautiful hand-woven basket from the ladies in Zimbabwe
A big thank-you to Geraldine for donating individual coin purses for each lady in attendance. These are really colorful and lovely.
Wmen on Mission is the name for "WMU" - - I understand why my grandma enjoyed being a part of "WMU" back in the early days. She instilled many memories in my heart - - as she took my sister and I to her many "WMU" meetings and activities. There are so many mission opportunites just waiting for us to encounter!
Meet & Greet - New Missionary Family
Then- on Sunday evening - our Women on Mission will host a Meet & Greet for a special Missionary Family - - who is currently staying in our Church Mission House. We will host a "Pounding" (of food pantry items) and become acquainted with this special family. This is a very special missionary family - - as their names are not announced - as to protect their identity in the remote place in which they are currently serving as missionaries. They are on furlough for several months.
You are always good at soliciting for goodies. Take some pictures.
