Surprise Visit by Mr. Tom

We have something in common - - and that is - - we all LOVE surprises - - (good surprises) - - Well -- I had a surprise - - Mr. Tom Turkey came to visit me - Unexpectedly - - I WON A TURKEY. Unbelievable! - - I do realize many of you receive a frozen turkey from your employer during the hoildays - - mine has not begun this tradition - not yet, anyway! ) Anyway, Mr. Tom Turkey is currently in my freezer - - waiting to be given away to a good home!
How did I win this - you ask? Let me tell you - - I won it at the neighborhood grocery store!
See - each time you purchase groceries - - you have the opportunity of putting your name in the hat - - No one can do it for you - - Only the purchaser.
Well - It's a well known realization that I do not actually purchase groceries for myself - - But my little ministry includes grocery shopping for the home bound -- They provide me with their list (and their $) and I purchase all items on their list - No More and No Less - - - I enjoy this - I truly do - and they also do. So it works out very well.
So - as I would participate in my ministry - - each time I went in to purchase the groceries - I put my name in ! And - I WON - - - several other people also won a turkey for themselves.
I realize everyone has their turkey for Thanksgiving - - but Turkey is such a delicacy - - you can devour him @ any time.
My plans are to pass Mr. Tom Turkey to the next family that pulls into my driveway. So - come on over and take Mr. Tom Turkey home with you. He makes such a great visitor!
