It's been a great Summer - thus far. I hope my previous Blogs reveal the true JOY I have experienced this Summer by participating in a few Mission Adventures - - including Mission Trip to Nicaragua - - and collecting 'Dental Items' for the Phillipines - - - with more mission opportunities forthcoming.

My Sunday School Class has discovered a Mission field - - much closer to home !
This Saturday - - my Sunday School class -- known as the "JOY" Ladies - - are participating in the church-wide Sunday School project called "Faith in Action". Each Sunday School class had to go out and find our own special Project within our neighborhood.
One does not have to venture far into Livingston Parish to discover a Mission Project - - We found a nearby family in our neighborhood - - - not too far from the church - - - a disabled Father, a working Mom, and 6 children (all home for the Summer).

We have collected grocery items for the family. And - - have undertaken the project of going Saturday and cleaning up their yard. We've also invited the husbands of our class ladies - - - they can do the hard labor.
Missions is not only in far away lands - - but is in our own Neighborhood. My Class and I are so thankful for the opportunity to Bless this Special Family - - To God Be The Glory !
So think about us as we begin 8:00 AM - Saturday morning to delivery our grocery items to this Special family. And, clean up their Yard. We pray they know how Special they are - - to be one of God's Chosen - - to receive His Ministry.
