"Annie Armstrong"

It's the National Week of Prayer - for those Missionaries serving all around the United States.  Also known as "Annie Armstrong Missions"   Of which there is a special missions offering taken during Easter season - - to support ALL those missionaries within the United States.

Two other mission offerings are taken during the year - - One in the fall for Louisiana Missionaries - known as Georgia Barnette Offering;  the other is Lottie Moon Mission Offering - taken during Christmas.

Let's focus on the current Mission Emphasis - - It was named for a Missionary - -  Annie Armstrong.   She actually founded "Southern Baptists - WMU (Women's Missionary Union).

 Annie  Armstrong
July 11, 1850 – December 20, 1938

This week most Southern Baptists churches observe "Week of Prayer" for North American Missionaries - (all around the United States).  I encourage you to lift up the missionaries - - as they labor to sow seeds  of the Gospel - - some far away from their family.

Sometimes - I wish I would have become a Missionary - - - Wonder where the Lord would have sent me !  But we can always serve HIM in our community!
