OCTOBER 1 - - - - Ministry - - - Toiletry Items

So - - when's the last time you bought shampoo - conditioner - - even  de-o ! It just becomes 'habit' to pick up a bottle at the Store.

Last  Friday the Louisiana Southern Baptist Convention of 'Women on Mission" along with my special friends from Judson - - united at a local church near a local prison facility - - We packed 650 boxes - - full of 8 identical toiletry items for all those housed at the facility.    Over the weekend - a total of 1,200 boxes were actually packed from volunteers within this Ministry.

This involves 'folding the boxes appropriately' - putting lids on each box - - and wrapping with special cellophane - - - to ensure boxes are not tampered with.

We began @ 9:30 and  finished at 11:30 - -  -and back home thereafter  - - A job well done !
Many Southern Baptist Churches have donated these items for this special cause.   My church used this as a Vacation Bible School project -

Some of the recipients have not received any toiletry items - - since our last visit - - exactly one year ago.
Imagine !

What a wonderful way to share the Love of JESUS - - as we PACK  toiletry items to be given to 1,200 special people at this facility.
